Egypt is definitely a country that attracts a lot of attention from tourists, what with all the
different attractions that can be experienced there. There are so many interesting cities that call
Egypt home, but if there is one city in Egypt that is worth visiting, then it is the beautiful, ocean-
side town of Marsa Matruh. Marsa Matruh is pretty secluded from the main staple cities of
Egypt, being close to 300 kilometers away from Alexandria and well over 500 kilometers away
from Cairo. Do not let the seclusion fool you though, as this is a great asset to the city, especially
if you like quieter, more serene vacations.
Just like most vacation destinations, Marsa Matruh is absolutely loaded with all sorts of hotels,
from five star resorts, to some more significantly cheaper options. One such resort that is gaining
a lot of attraction from Egyptian residents and tourists alike is the Jaz Almaza Beach Resort.
Here you will find a restaurant, a bar and poolside bar, hair salon, indoor and outdoor pool,
private beach, health club, business amenities and so much more. This resort has it all in the way

sunbathing is what you’re looking for, then Cleopatra’s beach is a fine place to do so. The oddly
shaped rocks that line the waterfront make swimming there a bit difficult and even dangerous,
even for seasoned swimmers.
There are other beaches present in Marsa Matruh, but the ones listed above are some of the more
popular ones. Another popular beach that some consider to be the pride of Marsa Matruh, is
Agiba beach. Being only around 40 meters long, one would not think that Agiba beach is that
great of a beach, but two magnificent cliffs that encase the beach would beg to differ. A nice
swim and then a climb up to the top of the cliffs to watch a beautiful swim is an excellent way to
end a Marsa Matruh vacation. Marsa Matruh is full of hotels, eateries, beaches and other features
