Cape Cod girlfriend getaway?

Hi. My friends and I are trying to come up with some ideas for a weekend getaway this summer. We are considering Cape Cod because we live in Connecticut and would like to go somewhere that we can drive to. We are all females in our mid-20s and are looking for some suggestions as far as a hotel and also night-life… We are planning to go relax at the beach during the day, but we would also like to be somewhere near bars so that way we can go out at night and have a good time.

1) we would like the hotel to be on the beach… that means, ON the beach… not near it, but ON it.
2) have a balcony
3) walking distance to bars / nightlife???
4) reasonable pricing (we are grad students lol)

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know :)
Thank You.

well if its cape cod you want then provincetown would be the best choice given your age–there are plenty of beaches within bike riding distance (bike rentals are about $10 a day) and P-Town has a very active nightlife–granted it has alot of gay people but as long as that doesnt bother you P-Town is loads of fun. . .

also, portland maine would be agreat choice–you can get to several maine beaches including old orchard beach and party at night in the old port of portland. . maine would only be about a 3 hour drive from Conn

there’s also Hampton Beach in NH– portsmouth is the nearest town and has a very similar vibe to the old port of portland,,But in my opinion i would keep going to maine at this point unless you were dead set on NH

The only place in New England that meets ALL your criteria is Old Orchard Beach in Maine.
Old Orchard has plenty of lodging on the beach with many bars close by.
It’s also has a fantastic beach and lots of fun things to do.

I suggest these two places because they are very nice, clean, reasonably priced, and have everything you required.
    The Beachwood Motel:

    or
    The Aquarius Motel:

Whatever you choose get a place as close to the pier as possible because that is the location of the best bars.

Everyplace else either isn’t reasonably priced (Cape Cod), doesn’t have lodging ON the beach, or have bars within WALKING distance (especially after drinking), lol.

I’ve stayed everywhere on the coast in MA, NH, and most of Maine.

    Have Fun!
