distance between Emerald Bay and Hotel Metropole on Catalina Island, CA?

do I need to take a boat to Emerald Bay coming from Hotel Metropole? is it driving distance or walking distance

   Catlina Island is pretty small. Why not go on Google maps and judge your distances that way?

   It’s about 20 miles away by air, much more by bumpy dirt road. It might be easiest to go by boat. The best alternative is to take the boat (Catalina Express, Catalina Cruises) to Two Harbors, and then take a shore boat.

   There’s not much there except a scout camp, and it’s not like they have “visitor’s day”. Note from the scout camp web site:

   Two Harbors is the closest port of entry on Catalina Island and transportation to camp from Two Harbors is by shore boat – approximate cost $9. 00. For info: (310) 510-4253. Transportation from Avalon or the Catalina Airport is difficult to arrange and expensive. We strongly suggest you travel only via Two Harbors.

   (Getting to Two Harbors is pretty easy via Catalina Express)
