When I look up online I find conflicting answers..some bookings say they do and some say they don’t. We went 2 years ago and they didn’t charge for kids. Has anyone gone lately?
I called Mandalay to check. They started charging for all guests including children in April 2011. Each offer is different though. Some the 3rd and 4th guest were $30 and some were $35. It was cheaper to book the room with the regular rate including kids then it was to use a coupon code and then add the kids for $30-35 each/day. Also if you book through Expedia.com their deal includes kids. I ended up booking through Mandalay Bay though because it ended up to be the same rate as Expedia. ($80/night including the kids)
They didn’t charge for my sister.
The typical room charge is for 2 people, regardless of how many beds are in the room, after 2 people they generally charge $10. 00/day for each person. So if its a set of parents with a kid, it will be room charge +$10. They generally don’t care as long as one person is at least 21.
The room rate is the same for 1-2 people, and then there are additional charges for a 3rd or 4th guest. They don’t inquire about ages when you make reservations, and don’t offer the option to indicate that some guests are children. They base the rates entirely on the number of guests, and not their ages.
