The Top Waterfront Hotels and Oceanfront Resort Locations

I need a recommendation for a weekend getaway near the SF Bay Area?

I live in San Francisco and would like a recommendation for a place within 2-3 hours that would be a nice Sat/Sun getaway. We just want to relax and have a nice room with nice views and walking areas. Any help would be appreciated. We typically like to stay in 4-5 star hotels.

Auberge du Soleil in Napa is very peaceful.
Mayacamas Ranch in Calistoga is rustic and different.
Claremont Resort is an old school spa, but it is in a pretty hectic area.
Heavenly Ski Resort has everything you need including shopping and dining.
    I love mudbaths in Calisotga.

What about Yosemite? I believe the Ahwanee Lodge is 4 or 5 stars. Plenty of nice views and walking areas, and you’ll be beating the annoying summertime tourists.

I’ve never been, since I’m a 2-3 star guy. But I can recommend the location.

You can’t beat the Napa Valley. You can hike, go to a spa, eat at wonderful restaurants. ride a bike and of course the number one thing to do drink wine.
