Oh! I thought you said Montenegro! No! I wouldn’t go Jamaica at all, especially with children! Jamaicans are crazy, and will beat you up and rob you! You can’t even be safe in the resorts anymore, because Jamaicans don’t like tourists using their beaches! Just stay away from Jamaica! But if you still wanna go to the Caribbean with kids, I would recomend Puerto Rico or St. John!

Don’t listen to Brian. Jamaicans are very nice people. I have been to Montego Bay many times and have even taken my children there. I would recommend that you stay at an all inclusive on the beach as there are a lot more activities, water sports, you don’t have to worry about where you are going for your next meal, they have entertainment in the evening and very good security. There are many many things to do so go on some tours. There are many hotels to choose from, go where you can get the best deal.

Do not listen to negativity about Jamaica or form opinions based on ill-informed, ignorant people. On that note, I would recommend somewhere in Negril or ‘Geejam’ (a resort) near Port Antonio if you’ve got kids ages 1-15 yrs. If you can afford it, Geejam will cater to your every need including providing trust worthy staff members to babysit kids. Negril is a family friendly place pretty much anywhere on seven mile beach and would be more affordable. I would stay away from Ocho Rios, Montego Bay or Kingston if you have kids. There really isn’t as much to do for them as it is catered more towards the party crowd and adults in general.

id suggest sunset beach resort in montegobay. . . they even have deals now me thinks. . email me and i will send u mine!

also, holiday inn will be good and nearer to golf. . . or a little way out of mobay in starfish beach resort. If u have the big bucks then i strongly suggest getting a villa at half moon! butler and maid service :)

but if not the other two are just great and fun for kids. . . one tip is make sure u ask when booking if there is a nanny program. Thanks a sure way to know how kid friendly a place is.

I wouldn’t. But if you must, make sure you stay in the all-inclusive resort. It’s not safe or pleasant to try to travel about on your own – I’d never do it with young children. When we stopped in Ocho Rios [and I've heard MoBay is worse] on a cruise, our 16-year-old was approached several times – in a 10-minute walk! – to buy drugs. With us right there!

We stayed at the Breezes Trelawny Resort. (Jan24-Jan31,2010). Lots of children and well entertained, fun for all the family. The local Jamaicans on the beach and near by village are very polite and help full, just take a minute to look into there shops and they will talk to you about all things of interest. Aproximatly 35min. from Montego Bay Airport.

Breezes is designed for families and is a great place to have fun with the kids. And when you need a little personal time nannies are available too. Have fun
