The Top Waterfront Hotels and Oceanfront Resort Locations

My mom, two kids (ages 7&9) want to spend 3 days, of our 7 day July Boston trip, in cape cod.Good idea?

I would love to get a reasonably priced hotel ($225 or less per night) near the water. My kids have never swam in the ocean. I am thinking of leaving Boston via rental car on a Sunday and returning on a Tuesday. Thanks for your suggestions. Perhaps there’s better locations.

Ya the cape is great, you just have to realize that there will be alot of people down there, especially if you go around the fourth of july, so make your reservations now, you might be able to save money. some great beaches are horse neck, if you want waves, and scusset, if you want calm water. Scusset is alot colder than horseneck though. And if you leave sunday and come back tuesday you will only have really one day at the beach, when you factor in travel time. I would leave sunday and come back wed, so you have two days, but thats just my suggestion.

. . . If your considering going to the “Cape”. . . book it NOW because in July, Cape Cod will be sold out most everywhere ! Provincetown is a lot of fun, it’s crowded and crazy but fun and Race Point Beach is great. . .

Great idea, but book now. Some resorts are offering discounts at this time because of the economy. Ocean Edge Resort is very nice and by Cape Cod Bay www. oceanedge. com give that site a check. You can find some hotels on www. tripadvisor. com that will fit your budget.
