The east coast beaches of Barbados are a real treat. But you will not find enormous luxury hotels in this part of the island. If that is what you want, then the best place to go to is the so called Platinum coast of the country or the west coast. In the east coast, all you will find are Barbados small hotel establishments. However, that is exactly why the character of the eastern coast is enticing to those who seek not the usual swanky posh first world hotels, but the charming raw beauty of the island which is its true beauty. The small hotels in the east are small but quite fascinating and homey. One can only get the real island ambiance in such accommodations. And the beauty of the eastern coast itself is something so different, it’s almost beyond words. The eastern side of the island has rugged terrain, spectacular seascape and landscape that have a mythical feel to it. It is a paradise for photographers and nature lovers. Those who are moved by the spirit of adventure can simply rent a Barbados small hotel establishment in the eastern side so they could trek towards the beach and fully enjoy these hidden natural wonders. Here are the hidden jewels of Barbados. These beaches are some of the well known ones but there are of course a lot of other more secluded ones that only the locals know. There’s Skeetes Bay, Tent Bay, Walker’s Beach, Pico Teneriffe, Morgan Lewis, and Consett Bay. They are truly raw and look great on photographs. The waves here are enormous and only the best swimmers who know the area should bathe here. There’s also Bath in St. John, Martins Bay where there are still very large waves but swimmers can wade in not too far from the shore. And finally, there’s Cattwash, and Bathsheba. These are the truly hidden jewels of the east which have the most magnificent and breathtaking views. The waves are still strong here but there are actually pools near the shore that are great places to swim in. They are like natural swimming pools and couples love to go on picnics near the area. Most if not all of these beaches are a surfer’s paradise because of the large waves and the small amount of people in the beach. These are definitely some of the best surfing locations in the world, on par with north shore and the Australian gold coast. Sometimes, one can have the whole beach to one’s self. And the massive limestone boulders and cliffs will make you feel the presence of mythical giant gods and goddesses of the island. Why bother going to the western side of the island with all those large commercial hotel establishments and manicured golf courses? The beaches there are nice, but if one want to find the real heart of island life, if one wants raw beauty and a surfer’s paradise, then one must visit the east coast and simply rent a homey tropical Barbados small hotel instead.
