Driving in from Changi Airport in the wee hours of the morning, we plied the cab driver with questions over the new structures lit up in the Singapore skyline. “What it that? When was the gigantic ferris wheel built?” Walk the vibrant Esplanade with historical buildings on one side of the Singapore River and a gazillion restaurants along the quay stretch. Drop dead views of the new Marina Bay Sands complex (yes…the same Las Vegas Sands consortium) that resembles an ocean liner in the sky. Fabulous bronze statues and artwork line the river. There’s more to do in Singapore than meets the eye… A fantastically clean and wonderul city…
