Why are Vegas hotels expensive the last week in March?

I see all kinds of ridiculously good deals for Vegas hotels during weekdays (i.e. Mandalay Bay, Venetian for circa $100). However, those same hotels cost $300+ on weekdays in the last week in March? Why is this? Is there a special event? Do you think they will have last minute deals?

Check the convention schedule. Probably a huge convention in town that week.

There are several big conventions in town so no deals now or then, in fact, if you don’t get a room you could be sleeping on the street LOL

Easy answer, it’s the NCAA March madness. It’s basically a giant party week, so you’re not going to find any cheap deals.

If you are going to find anything, use http://www. mycheapvegas. com, they usually have the latest deals.

    Cheers!

convention and march madness is what will drive the prices up.

You have to realize that this is a basketball town, college basketball. March madness brings lots of partiers and people wanting to place bets.

march madness is very popular and this is the reason why the rates are so high. Perhaps you get a good price if you book your hotel with a promo code, check http://www. vegas-hotels-online. com for this.

It’s the Conexpo-Con/Agg convention. It only happens once every 3 years and is one of the biggest conventions in the world. 145,000 people are expected March 22-26.

Hotels do tend to get cheaper the closer you get. You may be able to get a package deal through Southwest and still get the awesome hotels for $100 on average even through the weekend. Take a look at http://lasvegasforcheap. com/bookinghotels for tips for getting cheap hotel rooms.

http://lasvegasforcheap. com/deals also posts the latest Las Vegas hotel deals, show tickets, happy hours, restaurant coupons, and free club admission. So take a look if you want to save some money.
